Radiators are essential for the cooling of combustion engines. If radiators overheat, it can cause serious damage to your vehicle.
In combustion engines there can be more than 4,000 petrol explosions per minute, each generating up to 1,500°C in temperature.
The cooling liquid circulates through a cooling jacket in your radiator, cools the engine block as well as your vehicle’s pistons, valves, gaskets, rings, and engine head.
In addition, the circulating coolant receives the combustion heat that flows through the radiator and exchanges the heat with atmospheric air.
Did you know that all cars built after 2001 will have a catalytic converter fitted? A catalytic converter converts harmful exhaust emissions into less harmful ones as the gases flow through. A blocked catalytic converter will fail the MOT
The Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) is part of a vehicle’s exhaust system, helping to reduce the amount of harmful particulate matter that is produced within exhaust gases.
The filter captures and contains these particles and when soot levels inside the filter reaches their allowed limit, the regeneration process is initiated burning any trapped particles converting them into carbon dioxide.
Exhaust gases containing soot enter the DPF channels, which are closed off at alternating ends, and the channel walls are porous, allowing exhaust gases to pass through, but retaining (trapping) the larger soot particles inside the DPF.
Cleaner exhaust gases exit the DPF as the trapped soot particles are reduced to smaller ash particles during regeneration. The regeneration process also helps to prevent blockages and is integral to the function of the DPF and therefore the vehicle.
Today’s modern vehicles have many advanced technical and electrical features. If these features fail it can be extremely difficult to fix them.
Using the latest technology, our product range will help you diagnose system faults from manufacturers including Hella, Launch & Pico. We’re also able to supply the component part to fix it.
We carefully select our suppliers to ensure we always stock the highest quality parts at competitive prices.
Today's vehicles are fitted with complex electronics, therefore it is essential that you have the correct high quality battery fitted. At Leamoco, we supply Yuasa batteries, one of the largest battery manufacturers internationally. Yuasa was chosen to supply batteries to NASA for the international space station.
In addition, our staff are fully trained on how to test batteries to ensure they’re in full working order.
Steering and suspension components play a critical role in keeping you safe when driving. Keeping the tyre in contact with the road surface is critical. One worn shock absorber can increase the stopping distance by up to 2 metres.
We are partnered with KYB, FAI & Firstline, for your suspension needs. Did you know that 1 in 5 of cars leaving production lines worldwide has KYB shock absorber fitted as standard?
Modern vehicles are becoming increasingly complicated, due to the growing number and complexity of high-tech electronic components. Without quick vehicle identification, reliable fault diagnostics, an extensive supply of data and components, or professional support: a simple repair can quickly turn into a relentless cost trap, as a long time spent searching for the root cause cannot always be invoiced to the customer retrospectively.
Leamoco offer a range of diagnostic tools from leading companies, to suit most price points, such as Hella, Pico, and Delphi & Autel.
